Hi all I found an organic lawn fertilizer in my nursery but of course the instructions are for square meters. Does any of you have an idea of how many teaspoons I should pour into my 10 liter watering can ? Thanks and happy new year from France, Fabrice.
First, if it's organic, the risk of burning the roots by over-fetilizing your trees is limited. Second, there are many organic fertilizers available in tree nurseries, why lawn fertilizers ? I'm sure you can find "Or Brun" for instance, it's mainly composted manure (12-14 months) and algae: Or Brun Less ubiquitous, Solabiol have very good products too. They have an interactive map where you can find local dealers : http://www.solabiol.com/ou-trouver-nos-produits?region=nord-pas-de-calais
I had thought of lawn fert for it was described as close to perfect NPK ratio for maples. Anyhow I have found today an organic fert for conifer with an almost similar NPK ratio. AND it has the proper instructions for use. Thanks a lot to you all I intend to change all container soils for Al's gritty mix next spring. Fabrice.
