There appears to be a disease problem with my laurel hedge that surfaced earlier this year. The leaves are getting large greyish brown spots on them and many holes are appearing. Many of the leaves at the top of the tree are shriveled. There is quite a lot of leaf drop.

The hedge is approx 10-12 years old.

I have attached pictures. I am wondering if you can determine what is going on and can suggest what I can do to fix the problem.

    Thank you.

Inspect the stems for any signs of wounding.
