Last visit, what I found new for myself

    Schisandra propinqua. All other sp. of Schisandra in the garden are out of bloom at least for 1.5-2 months, maybe more. I looked at these tiny buds for months and didn't believe they would be open, but they are open now!

    Gaultheria fragrantissima, again, it was so long to wait from white flowers to these blue colored fruits

    Rubus tricolor, we didn't find any berries last year and were lucky to see 3 berries this summer, they are hidden very well under leaves

    Schisandra propinqua has a fruit! There are still some buds or flowers

    I have been collecting flowers from this plant for a few years for a class. I was quite surprised to see the fruit this year. As far as I know this is the first time fruit has been seen on the plant. It was planted in 1993.

    It would be the weather this year, other people are reporting locally exceptional results from tomato plants as well.
