    Hi,

Can anyone help me to identify this clematis that I inherited when I moved to my current abode? I cut it back hard last March as it was looking very sorry for itself. It eventually flowered in mid-October... Well I say flowered but it only produced a solitary large deep pink flower, that had a deeper pink stripe down the middle. It had eight tepals and the anthers were deep pink in the centre with yellow edges. I've attached an image to help identification. It had climbed to a height of about 2.5 metres from the ground by November. I'm very keen to identify it as I think I cut it back too hard last year and that's why it didn't flower well; obviously I need to know what pruning group it's in so I can bring it back to glorious life!

    Thanks,

    Christina
