Hello, all. My name is Aaron, and I recently moved to China, where I began zealously decorating my new apartment with oversized houseplants. Things worked well until winter set on - I fear that one of my plants is dying (the leaves are changing colors and falling off, though whether they're "yellowing," "browning," or "blacking" I couldn't say). I am now painfully aware of the fact that I am unable to get ahold of anyone who can identify this plant in Chinese, though it's very common, much less translate it into English. So this is a picture of my three plants. The one on the far left is the one I'm concerned about (you can see the dead leaf droppings on the ground there), but it would be nice to have all three positively identified. I suspect that they're all pretty common plants, but I'm pretty new to this. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much in advance for your time and help! --- Aaron
Hello Aaron, We would be happy to help identify the plants. Unfortunately the link you provided did not work. Could you try to post the link again or email it (use contact at bottom of page). Chances are apartment is too dark, too arid--if heated, in cold climate--or you aren't watering successfully. If they were grown outdoors in a subtropical/tropical environment just the change in light exposure provided by a dim indoor environment may be enough to cause leaf loss.
