Lake Tahoe basin plant

    I found this plant in the Lake Tahoe Basin recently. Can you tell me what it is? It is a shrub and those pods have hard spines.

    Last one is Spear Thistle Cirsium vulgare. Native for me, an invasive weed in your area.

    2/ Ceanothus prostratus?
    3/ Dieteria canescens
    4/Pterospora andromeda?
    5/
    6/ Ribes viscossisimum or R. nevadense
    7/ Carex sp. and Scirpus microcarpus?
    8/Juncus sp.

    #5 is also Carex sp, another than in #7
