Lacking chlorophyll?

    My astrophytum started turning light green. At first, I though it was because I had overwatered it and the roots were rotting. However,the roots were white and really healthy and the plant doesn't feel mushy. My other astro turned greyish when they were subjected to longer sun exposure but never did they turn light green. I even tried placing it on a bright area only but the color did not change.
