This is my pindo palm. Is this ''browning and spotting' due to a lack of nutrients or something else? We've had ample rain so I know it isn't due to lack of water.
    Thanks.

I checked for mites with a magnifying glass and I didn't see anything that looked alive. I realize that may not mean that there aren't mites. I just didn't see them.

I am posting some more photos of the damage.

Hmm. Maybe some Mg. ? I know palms love it. Mg deficiency is common in palms...
Plus fertilizer period. Palms love ferts, give them something balanced too like 13-13-13 in the Spring...
They will have it in your local bigbox store...

Thanks, LeftCoastAngler. I hope that's all it is. Fertilizer I can easily do. If it is mites, there are so many opinions about the best way to fight them. One site recommends using predatory mites to eat the harmful mites. Another recommends just blasting the fronds with cold water several times a day which, supposedly, will knock them off and drown them. By the time I do that every day, I'll be ready to blast myself with cold water!
Then, there's the not- recommended- much method of spraying a miticide.

So, as you can see, I'm really hoping it's just a lack of nutrients. I'll try the fertilizer.

    Any more suggestions out there?
