On recent trip to Italy I admired the summer cypress in a friend's garden. She gave me some seeds but I am unsure whether I should plant them because Kochia is considered an invasive plants in some parts of North America. Does this hold true for the Pacific Northwest? I did consult the BC Field guide to noxious weeds www.agf.gov.bc.ca/cropprot/weedguid/weedguid.htm
but it seems that this plant tends to get invasive in drier climates. Advice from experts would be appreciated. This is pretty plant. My friend had hers in pots around her patio, but I don't want to take a chance if it could pose a problem in this environment.

    Thank you
