I purchased male & female kiwi plants 5 years ago. This is the first year that they produced blossoms and they appear to both be males. Is there a way of grafting a female plant onto the male so that I don't have to wait another 5 years?

If so can you have a plant that is both sexes & when would you do the grafting?

    Thanks

Yes a female can be grafted onto a male. If you have a dormant cutting you can graft it at bud break in the spring. You could also graft it to new growth that has hardened off enough to support the graft in early summer if you want to avoid possible frost problems that you might have at bud break in late spring. I haven't tried it myself. This is just what I've read and been told.
