Re: Kensington/Cedar Cottage I'm encroaching on Anne Eng's territory here, but it's her own fault for dragging me over to the east side today! The 'Somei-yoshino' trees on Victoria Drive are in full bloom. Here are two at 26th in Brewers Park (the park sign seems to be missing). Here are the three 'Somei-yoshino' at 16th across from John Hendry Park/Trout Lake Community Centre. These appear to have been grafted. On the south end of the park, along the south side of 19th, is a row of 'Akebono' that run for six blocks - all the way to Copley. To get there from Nanaimo, turn west at the pedestrian light at 20th and go south a block to 19th! (The numbers should go up going south - it's very strange here). At least some of these appear to not be grafted. I've never seen an extra sepal on an 'Akebono' before. Inside the park near the parking lot off 19th are two fairly small 'Accolade'.
