On my property, I have a (neglected) peach tree that is either over 20 years old or approaching 20 years. Two years ago it produced mealy and near flavorless large fruit. Between that time and now it has developed a NASTY leaf curl infection. Is it worth trying to save with copper ammonium spray or should I remove it? Is there any chance that such an old tree would produce good fruit again? Thank you for your feedback. -Esperanza
I think it would be easier to go get a new peach tree then to fight to save an old one you couldn't enjoy eating. OTOH, leaf curl is not a serious problem where I live because the leaves drop and then are replaced with new ones and the fruit is not affected.
