This plant appeared in my Vancouver garden. I think it's considered a weed, but I can't find an image online that matches it.

In the photos, it's the tall plant with yellow flowers, just opening up now.

Can anyone tell me what it is?

    Hypericum perforatum.

I also get this and have pulled it as a weed. Not something I worry about. I did not know what it was, but after looking through my Field Guide to Noxious and Other Selected Weeds of British Columbia, it appears to be Hypericum perforatum.

Thanks, that's it! I think I'll wait until it's flowered a bit more, then yank it out before it spreads seeds everywhere. Sounds invasive.
