200m, Valle del Cauca. The flower looks identical to a Justicia species planted in my garden that is reported to be native to Brazil and which I got from greenhouse. That plant has what I would call heavily crinolated leaves. The plant in the photo was encountered pretty far from human habitation but of course could still be a garden escape. Any ideas to what species it might be?
It looks pretty similar to the Justicia carnea shown at ▷ Justicia Carnea Care: How to Grow Brazilian Plume | 2024 (efectoacogida.org). Presumably that's what you planted in your garden.
