I was just wondering if anyone could help me identify this plant my grandaunt gave me several years ago. It had a flower about two years ago which bloomed in one night and quickly withered away in the morning. The flower opened up to be almost as large as a dinner plate. My aunt says the last time it had flowered had been several years before then.
I don't know where she got it, but she called it the 'Princesita de Media Noches'... I was wondering what it's scientific name is.

Appears to be a species of Epiphyllum, commonly known as Orchid Cactus. 'Princesita de Media Noches' could be one of the many cultivars.

Then again 'Princesita de Media Noches' looks suspiciously like 'Princess of the Night' which is Selenicereus pteranthus. However Selenicereus has ribbed stems. I think the flowers of Epiphyllum and Selenicereus look quite similar. Perhaps the label was misapplied?
