Wildflowers: Just a skeleton - of Rudbeckia

    Cannot figure out what it was. All what is left - empty seed head and leaves. First my thought was - Rudbeckia. But Rudbeckia has no teeth on the leaves and leaves are decurrent. Can anyone guess this?

    Look up Rudbeckia occidentalis. That will probably be it.

    Yes, you are right! I zoomed into upper leaves and they look practically entire, whereas the lower leaves become serrate.
