Just a few more flowers to ID

Ok, these are the last ones. Any ideas?

 

1. Looks like Gladiolus cardinalis.

2. The purple flower looks like a Geranium sp or one of the many cultivars.
Sorry I do not recognise the red berries.

3. Looks like Polygonum capitatum.

Bingo on 1 and 3! Need to look into 2. Many thanks.

 

#2 -- the red plant looks like Sedum, many species in this genus may have reddish leaves

 

Yes, the berries are actually leaves.

 

2. No wonder I didn't recognise it!!!
How very stupid of me. Must have been half asleep this morning. Red berries they are not!

Will the Gladiolus cardinalis grow here (PNW)? I don't ever remember seeing it in local gardens.......barb

 

Barbara, I took all of these pics and many more in a friend's garden in Big Sur, right on the coast. So, often foggy and cold, but maybe not as much as where you live.
