This is in a private yard in Kaneohe, HI. The dense leaves are very thin stringy things. I don't seem to have taken a photo of the whole tree to give the scale of the leaves, but I remember them as not longer than about 5cm and I think they are less than 5mm in width. I didn't notice any cones. Is it a Juniperus chinensis cultivar?

Maybe a Hollywood juniper. Otherwise they do, of course have warm climate juniper species there that we don't see here.

You're good. Sorry about my memory - I guess I did photograph the trees, and didn't think that those leaves went with these trees. I did think the trees were Hollywood.

I'd check before leaving it that these are definitely Hollywood juniper. In the meantime, Hooray!
