I was given a Juniper Bonsai last fall. It was planted in a shallow Bonsai pot. I have watered it but did not over water it. I do mist it as I was informed I should do. I kept it in my Kitchen near a window (Northwest) until I noticed that the needles were becoming brittle and would fall off with a small part of the branch if they were touched. I have moved it to a Southeast window but it doesn't seem to be any better.
Also, should I put this plant out of doors? I do have a small unheated greenhouse where I could keep it until it warms up a bit more outside. Anyone with any advise for me would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like it's dead, particularly if all the foliage is brittle. Every chance it was already dead when you were given it - juniper foliage can go on looking fairly fresh for a long time after it has died.

    Thanks for the info Michael

The Bonsai was purchased from a well known store in Nanaimo. Found the receipt today, and wouldn't you know! I can't take it back as it is about a week passed the ninety day return policy.Makes me sort of sad. I was so proud of the plant. Oh well, maybe I'll try again.
