Joshua Tree plants, need id

    Was unable to identify these on a recent trip - can anyone help?

    #1. Chia, Salvia columbariae.

    #2. Desert dandelion, Malacothrix glabrata. (Note: It's not actually a dandelion; it's just a common name.)

    #3. I think it's a Lomatium sp.

    #4. Leaves of Dichelostemma capitata?

    #5. This photo is a bit confusing since there are many different species in it, but the yellow daisies with furry leaves are wooly daisy, Eriophyllum wallacei.

    Thanks! I think you nailed them all except number 4 - the plant was definitely growing out of the ground, not just lying on it. I have no clue what it could be.

    Re. #4, yes, I thought it was a couple of recumbent leaves coming out of the ground from either one or two plants.
