This root was found in a supermarket today, and I bought one, since it was outside my realm of experience.
Does anybody have experience growing this plant?

I have occasionally seen them in the supermarket. I had some years ago when in Nevada. There texture reminds me of Kohlrabi, but it doesn't have the cabbage taste.

It requires a long hot growing season, which is hard to find in Canada. It might be worth a try though.
