  1. It's mid September. Some of the leaves on my hedge roses are turning yellow. Is this normal?

This is a response to the cooler nights and changing season. Most plants begin to drop their leaves at this time of year; they are hardening off in preparation for the lower temperatures to come. At this time of year yellow leaves are unlikely to be a symtom of disease.
