I think my peach tree has a problem! THis morning I picked two peaches. From the outside they appeared fairly normal, large in size, not quite ripe, still a tinge of green/yellow. One of them had a sap-jelly spot on the outside. When I cut into the fruit I noticed surrounding the pit was a clear jelly substance. The pit itself was soft and smooshy. This is only my third year at this house, so I don't know what to expect from my fruit trees. Last year we had NO fruit due to the frost. THis year, the tree came back with a vengeance. What is the cause of this jelly? What can I do about it? I've seen some posts regarding a boring beetle. THe only beetle I've seen is the typical asian variety.
