Hi, I have a Jasmine tree which I have brought in for the winter. I then cut it back and it was thriving with new blossoms. It has lost all of its original leaves with some new growth but looking sad. I pulled it out of its pot along with the soil and root system and it was very wet, muddy like. Is this the problem and should I leave it to dry out and then what? What type of soil does it prefer and how often should I water it indoors? Thanks, Chris
Jasmine tree can mean a few different plants, but usually it is Murraya paniculata. There are quite a few posts on the forums about the care of that plant you might want to use the Search Function to find and read them, try both common and Latin name. Murraya paniculata likes moist, but not wet soil, so that could be part of the problem. You might repot it in lighter soil. Other things to consider - pests, dry air, stress from being moved, temperatures varying too much or too cold.
