Can anyone tell me more about caring for a Jasmine Tree? I acquired one about a month ago, I did not even know what kind of tree it was, but my mother recognized it as a Jasmine tree. My tree has small clusters of all white flowers and looks like it was being molded to look like a Bonsai Tree. Right now it is blooming, but the petals seem to fall off very easily. It is losing leaves and I do not know if I should cut back the areas that were flowers and now just bare branches of the tree. I would appreciate any help with this. The tree is beautiful and the smell magical. I live in New England, so of course I have it inside. It gets indirect sunllight, is in a room that is generally kept at 60 degrees. I am not sure what how often to water/fertilize it. My leaves are also falling off, do I need to move it to a window with more sunlight? Is it normal for the tree to "shed" this much? PLEASE H~E~L~P! Jasmine tree can refer to different plants, but it usually means Murraya paniculata. Do an image search to see if that looks like your plant. If it is you will find mayn posts on these forums about them by using the Search function. They like bright indirect light and evenly moist (not wet - not dry) soil. They often drop leaves when moved to new environments. Also check closely for any pests, which might be causing leaf drop. Good luck,
Thank you Eric, You are correct, I do not know what type of Murraya paniculata (I think that is what you called it in another post)it is. It has a 1" in diameter trunk, it is about 3.5' tall and has flower clusters. There is 1 trunk and it has 1 branch about 1' up then just trunk until you get to the top where there are many smaller branches and many clusters of pure white flowers. I got it from a greenhouse. I live in New England and I do not know how to cut this tree back after the flowers die. Can you please help me again?
