I got a new Jasmine plant from the UBC Botanical Indoor plant sale last Septemeber and ever since, it's been getting new buds but they dry out before blooming. The leaves all look green and healthy. Just the buds dry out. What's going on?? Thanks.
If this is Jasminum polyanthum that is said to need cooler temperatures than would be usual in an ordinary indoor living area to bloom. However, the issue there may be getting buds to set in the first place, and not so much aborting of buds. I don't know. The flowering specimens you see everywhere in late winter or early spring have often been shipped up from California, where these would presumably have gotten outdoor exposure to cool winter nights.
