I just bought a jasmin tree/bush. I asume it is tropical. it is about 2 feet high and has lot's of buds on it and one flower. I just need to know please how to take care of it in wintertime. Any answer is appreciated Helga
Helga, Two candidates for jasmine are Jasminum sambac, Arabian Jasmine and Murraya paniculata, Orange Jessamine. Of the former, 'Maid of Orleans' and 'Grand Duke of Tuscany' are likely cultivars.
Thank you so much for your answer, I will check and see what type I have bought. I am a newcomer to the board ,I am still trying to find my way around. Thanks again Helga
I checked the label from my jasmin bush and it is called "LAKEVIEW". Did any of you have heard of this type of jasmin? It looks very healthy and smells lovely but I have no idea how to overwinter it. It would have to go to the basement ,is that OK? The basement doesn't have too much natural light. Thank you for all the advise you can give me Helga
'Lakeview' is a cultivar of Murraya paniculata. A review of threads containing [search]Murraya paniculata[/search] may prove useful.
dear Junglekeeper Thank you very much for the information, I will write a label for my Jasmin and use it's correct name Helga
