I assume that Japanese words used for cultivars mean something, and mean something that would be usefully descriptive. Where can I find a glossary or dictionary of Japanese words used for maples or cultivars?
Try the books on japanese maples by JD Vertrees, they have a quick reference glossary in the back, or, ask us and we can find them for you. I have a sheet I made up with reference that I submitted to gardening magazines as an article, I will forward it to you if you like via email when I get back to my home computer, I am at the inlaws hanging christmas lights today, (brrrrr).
