    Hello,

I found this plant in a forest near Kyoto. Height about 70cm. It's certainly a Lamiaceae, and the pinnate leaves lead me to genus Salvia (but I'm not sure). But then?

    Does anybody have an idea?

I don't know the species, but those definitely look like Salvia stamens (single anther cell at end of elongated connective)

    Hello David,

thank you for confirmation. I labeled the picture as Salvia spec., but looked for some japanese forum. Finally someone identified the plant as Salvia lutescens var. intermedia, which seems to be an endemic japanese species.
