Hello all, i have a japanese maple and its doing well its about 3 feet high. i was wondering is there anything u can do to get the leaves to turn vibrant red? someone told me that at a store. The color right now is maroon red. i prefer them to be bright red but i do not want to harm the tree doing so.

It really depends on the variety you have. Some are simply more red than others and this is controlled by genetics and, to some extent, growing conditions. There is tremendous variation in the maple world...
