Identification: Japanese maple with short internodes

I was looking at the North American Rock and Garden Society website a moment ago and saw this photo of "A Japanese maple with naturally short internodes".

I would be interested to know the name of it or others with this characteristic.

Looks like Acer palmatum Mikawa yatsubusa.
