    Hello All,

I am in the throws of a massive home renovation and have a beautiful Japanese Maple in the portion of our garden that is soon to be excavated. Unfortunately we cannot keep the Maple as we have no room for it, but I am not sure now what to do with it. I have been told that they are valuable and quite sought after ( news to me) so I am not sure if I should post it on craigslist and if so what the price range would be appropriate for something like this. Do nurseries typically buy or trade trees like this? Please excuse my ignorance on all of this, I don't know the first thing about gardening/landscaping.

The tree is a Red Japanese Maple, approx 25+ years old, 4ft tall, trunk is approx 6in in diameter, canopy is 7x12.

Any advice/guidance would be SO appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Megan
