Is anyone on the forum aware of genetics work being done on Japanese maples? Are there PhD's in botany/plant physiology working in academia doing serous work on Japanese maples? I understand the big money is in cash crops not maples so perhaps academia leaves maple research to nurserymen/collectors/hobbyists where genetics is seen in plant expression rather than research. Any thoughts?
hi katsura !the only work that i know about maple genetics is one chapter in the book "Maples of The World "is very interesting with a good number of pics! ciao
