Hello, I live in Vancouver, and have a Japanese maple in our front yard. A few weeks ago it lost all the leaves on one side and looks 1/2 dead. We have had a heat wave a few weeks ago and the "dead" area is facing where the sun is usually (when it's sunny). Could the heat have shocked it? It never gets as hot as it did a few weeks ago. Any ideas? Any suggestions to help it? Thanks!
