Good day all, I'm grafting Japanese maples and found bark splitting symptoms on my older plants. These images are of a Acer Japonicum 'Vitifolium', the bark splitting has been around for about 5 years. Is there any way to treat it? In these images one can clearly see that the dead/damaged bark along with the healthy.
