Hi there I forgot my 1 foot tall "Jadetree" outdoors in Vancouver Canada Under a Gazebo on a Table in the shade. So no snow on it. But last night BEFORE the -9c Frost I took it in as some leaves started to fall. I know I should have done it earlier.. I had many Jade tree growing loose around the garden in South Africa and they managed though all the light -2-5c frost. So I thought should be no problem. We did not have any stronger frost in last days. So anyway I took it inside and it went totally limp soft all branches like gum hanging (but still green) Anyone knows ? Is it dead is it coping and will revive ? Thank you!
If the main stem is still firm it is possible for it to resprout. Keep your plant on the dry side but not completly dry and see if it resprouts. Mine growing outside got the top branches damaged or killed at -5c. I cut back into an alive and firm branch and it resprouted. I'd wait a while and see what happens before removing anything.
