I have a Jade plant that I brought in the house due to frost warnings. I noticed that there are holes in some of the leaves like a worm or something has been eating on them. The only thing I found on the leaves are a few and I mean very few places where there are little black spots. I am new at this so bare with me. It kinda looks like maybe a speck of dirt. I really hope it is nothing serious due to the fact that i got it from a planter from my dad's funeral. So I really want to save it if it is possible. Any help would really be appreciated.
if it was outside, it's very possible some bug came along and had a snack. if you don't see any bugs on the plant, or any more holes developing, i wouldn't worry about it. i've got some little black marks on my green jade - it's inside - they've never increased in size at all and the plant doesn't seem to be suffering so i haven't worried about it. jades aren't lovers of change so you may notice that your plant drops a few leaves over the next week or so. don't worry and don't panic! this is a normal reaction from this plant. give it some time to get adjusted to it's new surroundings and it will be fine. i would hold off watering it for a couple of weeks also. and remember, now that it's inside, it won't need watering as often as it did when it was outside. any way you can post pics?? i just want to be sure there's nothing serious going on with this plant - definitely wouldn't want you to lose it, since it has such a special meaning to you!! sorry for your loss, too! {{patti}}
