I've planted Italian cypresses about 5 years ago in my South facing Coquitlam (Vancouver) backyard. It is well drained. I've determined that I have a spider mite infestation and so am hosing them every couple of days to get them off. First, will hosing alone cure the problem. Second, all of the cypresses have no growth on the bottom 1/3 of the tree. I'm assuming it is from the spider mites although I cannot be certain about this. Will there be any new growth coming from the trunk if other problems corrected? Any help will be greatly appreciated
