found this in a neighbors garden, he gave me a bit and it has come up nicely this spring. I would love to use it as ground cover in many spots in my garden. It grows to about 6 inches tall and has filled his whole front garden. He dug it out of someone else's garden and so doesn't know the name. Does anyone know what it is? I thought it might be a type of spurge...

Also does anyone know how aggressive it is, will it take over my garden or can I put it in some of the bare spots and let it spread out and fill in areas?

It looks almost the same, the only thing is when I look up cypress spruge it is one stem with branches of it and the one I found is all single stems sticking up. Will start googling spurges, thought it might be one.

    thanx

Yes you are both right, when I looked closer some of them are branching off. Yikes maybe I shouldn't use it as a filler, but it is so pretty and soft, I have a tiny patch I wonder if I can manage it.
