I tried to clear this vine that has invaded our trees and ended up with a rash on my arms. Can you please help me identify it? THANKS!!!
It resembles the adult foliage of Hedera helix. http://www.havlis.cz/karta_en.php?kytkaid=21 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Ivy_fruits.JPG HTH Chris
Its plain old English Ivy (Hedera helix). Its all over the older houses around Baltimore City, even Hopkins university campus. It used to be a popular landscape plant until it was realized the damage it does to trees and mortar with its adventitious roots and sheer weight. You may have been bitten by insects hiding among the foliage. Real poison ivy also abounds around Baltimore City in far too many places.
