Hi everyone, I know I have a Jewel Orchid, but for the life of me I don't know how well "he" is! He flowered when I got him, then died back completely, only getting better when I moved him to the window in the kitchen. He now seems to be OK, but (I think) is growing strangely...... Does he look OK to anyone else?? If not...what can I do??? Any suggestions gratefully recieved..... Alan
The quickest way to assure the demise of your Jewel is to overwater it. It can not abide "wet feet". Unless you have drain holes in the bottom of that styrofoam cup, you are assuring its' quick death. Put it in a clay pot that will wick water from the soil, then water it when it is only barely damp. Good luck.
