Is this normal?

    I don't know much about plants, but this appeared on my indoor plant yesturday, and it's never happened before (see attached pics). Is it normal, or is this a mold/fungus? Please help! Thanks.

    That's a totally normal flower spike coming off your Draceana fragrans. Just wait until it opens, and if you like the smell, keep it. If you don't, clip it.

    Wow, thanks, I had no idea. I've had the plant for over 5 years and that's never happened.

    yeah, they don't usually bloom indoors unless they're older AND they are being kept in VERY GOOD conditions.

    so, congrats!! for not knowing much about plants, you're DEFINITELY doing everything just right with this one!!

    please post pics again when the flowers are fully open...i'd love to see how they look!!
