Hello, I've had this plant for months now and I never asked what is it but when I made my researches it looked like geranium but the leaves look quite darker than my plant. Is that true?

Sort-of. It's in the same family as Geranium, and often when people talk about geraniums in gardens, they mean this plant, but it is properly called Pelargonium. The flowers are different. Geranium flowers don't have a right-way up, should look about the same however you view them. Pelargonium flowers would have to be held a particular way to look symmetrical. See Pelargonium - Wikipedia and What is the difference between a Geranium and a Pelargonium?.
