    Hi there

I just uprooted this because I wanted to make room for some other vegetables.

After I uprooted it I realized it resembles some green onion or chive or something like that.

Can anyone please help me identify this plant?

    Much appreciated!

Do the leaves taste and smell garlicky?

No...it's not really fragrant, doesn't smell like onion nor garlic

In which case, not edible. Most bulb plants (with the exception of Allium) are toxic.

Perhaps Hemerocallis. Let it go to flowers to see what is it.

That's what it looks like. Those do produce edible flower buds.

The purple lines probably do point in that direction.
