Thanks for taking the time to review my post.

I just moved to a new place and have the following plant in my yard. It looks yummy ... but before I indugled, I wanted to make sure it was edible.

Any clues would be greatly appreciated.

It's actually more of a bush. The fruit grows individually and has a pit in the middle. It has a white something on the outside that I can brush off and then get a green fruit. Or maybe it's only green because it's not ripe? Anyway, it's not a hard fruit, it's kinda soft like a plum.

There's a good reason it's soft like a plum. Probably a gage. Find a ripe one and try it.

Yep, greengage plum. Delicious when fully ripe.
