Hello everyone! This flower just popped up in my garden a few days ago, the only flower to come up so far, and I don't know what it is. I'm thinking it is some form of an Iris, but I'm not certain. My sister-in-law thinks it is a crocus, but I can't find a picture of a crocus that looks like this. If anyone knows what it is, and how much sun/water/etc. it likes, please let me know! Thanks!

It is rather small, only about four inches or so above the ground.

It's some cultivar of Iris reticulata, an iris that grows from a bulb in spring, and then goes dormant again.

Several species in this group with multiple hybrid cultivars, referred to as Reticulata Irises to indicate they are not all just pure forms of I. reticulata.
