Identification: Is this an evergreen?

    Can anyone identify this lovely plant I saw in my neighbourhood. Apologies, I didn't have something to give a sense of scale. It's currently about a foot high.

    If this is an evergreen I'd sure love to get one.

    Might be Podocarpus nivalis, but not certain.

    I looked it up and it doesn't quite look like this plant. Take a look at the new pics I added. Thank you.

    Check Podocarpus alpinus, that looks to fit a bit better.

    You got it. There is a Podocarpus alpinus 'Red Tipped' variety that looks a lot like my plant. Thank you!

    I have seen what appeared to be this cultivar in planters at the Edmonds, WA waterfront with either all male or all female strobili on separate bushes. Apparently stock being supplied here is not clonal.

    Interesting to see it being used at all. Over here, you won't find it outside of major botanical garden collections (which is why I was rather hesitant in my identification).

    At independent garden centers here, as are other small podocarps.
