Is this an Aloe vera plant?

    Hi all

    I've just bought a plant from Ikea that I think is an Aloe Vera plant but I can't be sure :)

    Not that one, might be a Haworthia.

    Looks like an X Alworthia 'Black Gem' or a similar cv.
    (X Alworthia is an intergeneric hybrid between Aloe and Haworthia)

    would this hybrid have the same medicinal purposes as an aloe vera plant?

    Of course not, because it's NOT an Aloe vera...
