We've just recently moved into a new home that has landscaping at the front. I'm unsure of what this plant is. Someone said it was a yucca but they weren't 100 percent sure.

Would someone be able to identify it for me, and also let me know how I should care for it? Should it be cut back at all, just left, etc.?

    Thanks.

Yes, they are yuccas. No pruning required, unless you would prefer that dead leaves and spent flower stalks were taken off.

  3. Thanks for the quick response.

So I won't hurt it if i cut off the dead undergrowth? I just find that part of it unsightly.
