Can anyone ID this? My mom called it a "Winter Rose", but when I google it, I can't find any pictures of it. She thought the latin name started with an "H....
2nd question...can someone offer some easy care instructions on it? I was going to re-pot it...or should I just plant it in the ground when it's this cold out...where should it be planted?

    Thanks!

How often should I water it in the winter when it's in a pot outside?
Or should I plant it in the ground asap?

Best to plant it in the ground. While it is in the pot, make sure the soil never gets dry, they can tolerate wet soils, but not drought. But don't saturate it, particularly if there is no drainage hole at the bottom of the pot.
